The Performance Organ by Casavant brings a new interesting development to the Organ world: it allows organists to vary the resistance and the opening force (the “pluck”) of the manual, in order to imitate the touch of the desired instrument. These two parameters are adjusted by means of rotating levers with a gauge, so that it is easy to recall the parameters and replicate the action of a desired organ, as well as for organ professors to indicate specific resistance for practicing scales, arpeggios, passages, etc. This system also allows concert organists to rehearse with the action weight of the concert instrument they will be performing on. This system uses exclusive and patented mechanical and pneumatic actions, without any electronic device, making it very durable and resistant.
